Why Go Solar?
Reduce Carbon Emissions & Support Net Zero
Solar energy is a proven solution for organisations looking to cut emissions and comply with environmental targets. Our large-scale solar projects help businesses, local authorities, and private landowners contribute to the UK’s net zero commitments while generating renewable energy at scale.
Cut Energy Costs for the Long Term
Installing commercial solar panels or developing solar farms can significantly reduce operational costs. By generating your own electricity, you reduce exposure to volatile energy markets and protect your business from price spikes. For many, this leads to millions in long-term savings.
Increase Property and Land Value
Solar developments can increase land and property value, turning unused space into income-generating assets. Whether you’re installing rooftop solar on industrial buildings or transforming land into a solar farm, clean energy projects can create long-term returns.
Strategic Energy Planning
Solar at scale provides energy security and grid resilience. By generating power locally, you reduce reliance on imported energy and help stabilise supply. Aventurine Climate works with clients to plan and develop bespoke renewable energy solutions that support business growth and sustainability.

How Solar Works?

Sunlight Hits the Solar Panels
Solar panels are made of photovoltaic (PV) cells. When sunlight hits these cells, it generates an electric current through a process called the photovoltaic effect.
Conversion to Usable Electricity
The electricity generated is direct current (DC), which isn’t compatible with standard appliances. An inverter converts this to alternating current (AC) so it can power homes, businesses, or feed into the grid.
Powering Your Site
The generated AC electricity is used to run lighting, machinery, heating, or other equipment on-site. Any power you generate and use reduces the amount you need to buy from the grid.
Exporting Excess Energy
If your system produces more electricity than you need, the surplus can be exported back to the grid—often under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or through the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) for additional income.
Monitoring & Long-Term Savings
Solar systems include monitoring software to track output and performance. Once installed, maintenance is minimal, and the system generates decades of clean, low-cost energy with long-term financial returns.
